Welcome back to another edition of Jestr’s Choice! ✨
Before we dive in, we decided to change the amount of creators we award from now on, from 5 to 3 👀
Don’t worry, we did this for a good reason.
Jestr’s Choice is our way of showing appreciation to creators who consistently shock us with the quality of their work, the personality they put into their craft, and are individuals that remind us of the beauty in content creation.
So moving forward, we want to expand on the way we show that appreciation, by also rewarding these creators further with limited edition merch that only Jestr’s Choice Winners can get! 🎉
(Previous Jestr’s Choice Winners will also get their limited edition merch)
So although the number of awarded creators is lower, the reasoning is much bigger. We want to reward high quality and passionate creators 💜
So, without further ado, here are the Jestr’s Choice winners for the month of October!
Alpha Beta Gamer

Alpha Beta Gamer showcases games in a way that makes it feel like an atmospheric campfire story. Rather than rattling off features or reciting game briefs, he frames every review through a rich, deadpan narrative hook that makes you feel like you’ve just stepped into a dark cinematic mystery.
He leans into this storytelling style brilliantly in his spotlight for Silver Pines. Instead of a standard trailer breakdown, he pitches the game like a bizarrely charming travel brochure for a doomed resort. Praising the local scenery, the adequate motel accommodations, and the vibrant nightlife before casually twisting the narrative. By combining dry wit with immersive worldbuilding, he turns a quick indie spotlight into an unforgettable story.

Indie Game Luke

Indie Game Luke approaches indie game spotlights with the pacing and narrative depth of a seasoned documentary filmmaker. Weaving compelling stories that most people never would’ve realized, into a seamless narrative thread that hooks viewers from the opening second.
He demonstrates this masterful storytelling in his spotlight for Sword of the Sea. Luke frames the entire piece around a captivating story around the redemption arc from a 2013 Grammy loss for Journey, and the eventual comeback 13 years later. Anchoring the indie showcase to a powerful human narrative, which transforms a standard game recommendation into a story that engages his audience on a level beyond discovery.

The Stupid Goose

The Stupid Goose has a rare talent for making indie game recommendations feel less like a polished commercial and more like hanging out with a hilarious friend on Discord. His secret weapon is his incredible vocal range and comedic timing which combined with his personality, is a recipe for an entertaining video.
He captures this energy perfectly in his spotlight for Valor Mortis. By delivering lines like a seasoned voice actor, he takes a standard script and turns it into a genuinely relatable, personal moment. Between that natural vocal control and his signature “GoomByeee” sign-off, he creates a personal connection that sticks with you long after the video ends.
