After a month-long hiatus for June, we’re back with a new, special edition of Jestr’s Choice!
If you’re new here, Jestr’s Choice is our way of showing some extra love to creators who consistently punch above their weight, produce incredible content, and make us proud to have them as part of the Jestr community.
Usually, choosing the recipients is a group effort. The Jestr team puts our heads together, gets input from Jestr reps, and eventually comes to a consensus on five creators we think deserve the spotlight.
For July, we decided to switch things up a bit 👀
This month, every member of the Jestr team got to personally choose one creator! That means six winners instead of the usual five, but more importantly, six picks that each represent what someone on our team personally loves about great content.
What’s important is that we all notice and value different things. For some of us, it might be storytelling or humour. For others, it’s editing, consistency, or even community involvement. There’s way too much talent in this community for us not to each have our own favourites.
So, without further ado, here are the Jestr’s Choice winners for July, handpicked by the Jestr team!
JustJarrod
Théo’s Pick
JustJarrod is a creator best known for his iconic bird character, dry sense of humour, and incredibly chill delivery. Watching his videos feels like talking to a friend about games: natural, funny, and never overly scripted. Théo especially resonated with his dry humour, which, paired with great editing and a style that’s instantly recognizable, gives his content a friendly feel to it.
In his video about Crimson Moon, that laid-back style especially shines through. Instead of rushing his sentences or optimizing every second for “typical short-form” delivery, he takes his time and speaks like he’s simply sharing his honest thoughts about a game. It makes the whole video feel refreshingly genuine and easy to watch.

Cloudual
Val’s Pick
Cloudual is a creator who genuinely cares about the developers behind the games he covers, and it shows. He’s built his community from the ground up, using Jestr not only to find more opportunities, but to develop a brand and identity that feel entirely his own. Val especially admires the dedicated community he’s built and sees him as the kind of creator we should all aspire to become.
In his video about Dawn of Defense, he makes the developers the heroes of the story. He highlights what such a small team was able to accomplish while showcasing the creative gameplay mechanics that make their game stand out, especially highlighting the innovation that’s only possible by an indie team.

Sulei
Dawas’ Pick
Sulei is a creator who’s always willing to learn and never lets ego get in the way. He actively reaches out, takes criticism, and continuously finds ways to improve his content. He even popularized the iconic finger-pointing hook that tons of creators in the community have since taken inspiration from. Dawas also gives him bonus points for sharing a name with his favourite wrestler, Randy Orton ;)
In his video about Low-Budget Repairs, that improvement is obvious and it feels like he knows exactly what keeps people watching. His hooks are intriguing, his pacing is on point, and the energy behind his delivery makes the entire video genuinely fun to watch.

Trrisaa
David’s Pick
Trrisaa is a creator whose content thrives on authentic reactions, unshakeable energy, and the hilarious dynamic she has with her partner. Her gameplay clips never feel forced or overproduced, they’re simply entertaining because she’s genuinely having fun. David especially loves that authenticity and finds himself cracking up at pretty much every video she makes.
In her video about Storebound, the constant bickering between her and her partner, mixed with her high energy and funny facial reactions, makes for the kind of video you can’t help but smile through the entire time.

Hamza’s Pick
luvREOHH is a creator that has a knack for making every second of his videos funny. Between hilarious scriptwriting, perfectly timed delivery, and his unpredictable use of sound effects, there’s always something keeping you entertained. Hamza especially loves the SFX, which somehow manage to catch him off guard every time.
In his video about Emergency Buddies, he pairs a silly script with a completely monotone delivery, while unexpected sound effects constantly break your expectations. It keeps the video fast-paced, unpredictable, and very entertaining from start to finish.

Rosette Bloodthorn
Mahdeen’s Pick
Rosette is a phenomenal editor with a great personality who always finds a way to make her Jestr videos feel natural and personal through her own little stories. Mahdeen especially appreciates how she incorporates her chat, making each video feel like an extension of her streams while building a recognizable brand around her content.
In her video about Cinderia, she does exactly that by leaning into the absurdity of an in-game moment and bouncing off her chat’s reactions. It turns a funny gameplay clip into something that not only showcases the game in an intriguing light, but also does so in a truly authentic way.

If there’s one thing this edition made especially clear, it’s that there’s no single formula for making great content. Every person on our team gravitated toward something different, because every creator brings something unique to the table!
As Jestr continues to grow, there are more and more creators giving us reasons to pay attention. So keep experimenting, keep finding your own style, and most importantly, keep making stuff you’re proud of.
