Happy November! And welcome back to this weeks edition Jestr Recap 🎉

We hope everyone had a great Halloween 🎃 and we hope you guys had a great month of October in the books!

If it’s your first time here, the Weekly Jestr Recap is our way of keeping you in the loop of everything going on in the community, without having to scrape through discord to find it.

Not too much to dive into this week, but we got a lot of cool things coming soon 🫡

Lets dive in to what’s new in the community!

Jestr’s Indie Choice is Back 🏆

Jestr’s Indie Choice is back with another edition for the month of November 🍁

We’re excited to announce that the November Edition of Jestr’s Indie Choice will be focused on Cozy & Wholesome Games!

If this is your first time hearing about this, Jestr’s Indie Choice is our way to give back to indie devs who may not have the budget to market their games. So every month, devs submit their games, and the best 24 games become available for all Jestr creators to vote on! The winning game gets an entire marketing campaign funded by Jestr 💜

We’re currently taking applications for cozy & wholesome indie games until November 8th.

So if you know any cozy indies who might be able to make use of this opportunity, send them over to https://www.jestr.gg/polls and enter their game for a chance to make it through to the voting round!

Jestr x DUNK Tournament 🏀

This past week we held an impromptu 3v3 tournament for the game DUNK, and we had an absolute blast during the event 🎉

Alex hosted the event from the Jestr Stage where we got to watch both creators and Jestr team members go head to head in an elimination style matchup. Doing midgame interviews, introducing the teams, and commentating all the games LIVE.

Shoutout to all the creators that showed up to play ball, and massive congrats to the 1st place team who just so happened to win some free merch with our next merch drop!

• JustJarrod

• Cryx

• RiverFilms

It was really fun to watch everyone get competitive and watch you guys collaborate and record footage together.

We plan on doing more tournaments with the community soon, so stayed tuned to sign up for the next one!

The Hidden Gem Award Presented By Jestr 🫣

We’re really excited to be officially sponsoring the Hidden Gem Award at The 2026 Streamer Awards.

The voting period ended for The Streamer Awards 2026 and we’re so excited to see who won 👀

The hidden gem award is given to a streamer who averages under 200 views which is the most Jestr award on the entire list.

If you want to watch the event live, the main awards ceremony is scheduled for November 12th at 8:30pm EST on Twitch & YouTube!

Creator Roundtable

First off, huge shoutout to Alex for hosting this week’s Jestr Roundtable!

One of the interest things talked about in this weeks session was implementing more organic posts.

Organic content is content you’re not getting paid for, but covering games you genuinely found interesting and wanted to talk about.

Which sounds like the less appealing option, right up until you look at how it actually performs.

Organic content performs better, and there’s a structural reason why

Campaign content is, by design, content a bunch of creators are making at the same time. That’s the whole point of a campaign. But it means every campaign video you post drops you into a niche that’s already crowded, and if a viewer just watched another creator cover the exact same title twenty minutes ago, your video is fighting uphill before the first second plays.

Organic content has none of that. You pick the game. You pick the angle. There’s no wishlist line to work in at the end, no required beats, and you can actually talk about what you want to talk about. You’re also free to cover something nobody else is touching, which is the easiest competitive advantage there is.

And it shows in the content itself. When you picked the game because you thought it was cool, the passion is already in the script. You don’t have to manufacture it.

Lean into more organic if you can swing it.

We understand your time is limited and it’s genuinely hard to justify spending it on something that doesn’t pay vs something else does.

But a channel built entirely on games that fifty other people are also covering is a hard place to grow from. Make the videos that get you paid. Just don’t skip the ones that get you known.

If you’ve never been to a roundtable session before, this is an event where creators submit their content to be reviewed by the community, and get actionable feedback on what they can do to improve. If you want to be a part of the next creator roundtable, simply submit to this form and show up to the event on discord, Mondays 2pm EST!

However, everyone is welcome to join and listen in. The advice given to other creators are things you can apply to your own content.

Quick shoutout to all the new members who joined the Onboarding session we had on Wednesday! We’re looking forward to your success here on Jestr ✨

That’s it for this weeks Jestr Recap! We’ll see you again next week 🫡

Hello hello and welcome back to this weeks edition Jestr Recap 🎉

If it’s your first time here, the weekly Jestr Recap is our way of keeping you in the loop of everything going on in the community, without having to scrape through discord to find it.

Lets dive in to what’s new in the community!

Special Edition of the Creator Roundtable

First off, shout out to Mahdeen for being our special guest for this weeks creator roundtable.

It was a very special one because one of Jestr’s most talented creators put himself in the hot seat for a full session, and what started as an editing review turned into one of the best conversations we’ve had about why some videos pop and some don’t.

One analogy Mahdeen made really stuck out, and ended up being a very insightful topic.

Signs vs Tour guides

A sign tells you the restaurant is five kilometers up the road. Accurate, useful, and you will forget it immediately. A tour guide tells you why you have to try the place, what to order, and why it’s better than the one everyone else goes to.

The tour guide gives you everything a sign does. The difference is the experience. It’s the way things are presented, the personalized angle, the connection built with the person listening. That’s what makes you memorable, and its built around your opinions.

And the audience can always tell the difference. Without an opinion, a video turns into a feature list, the same information they could’ve pulled off the Steam page themselves. But when you actually have a take on something, there’s passion behind it, and that passion shapes everything from the words you pick, your tone, where you slow down, what you bother to point out. Viewers pick up on that stuff subconsciously. They may not be able to explain why one video felt better than another, but they can absolutely feel when someone cares. Which is something you can’t get from a sign with all the information listed on it.

Small Improvements Made In Jestr ⚙️

This week the Jestr team has been focusing hard on moderation, but they’ve also quietly been making some small QOL improvements to the site.

Better Visibility on Language Restrictions
If you have different accounts in different languages, you can now see which account is eligible for campaigns based on the desired languages set by the studio.

• Account 1 (Non-Eligible) / Account 2 (Eligible) - The campaign will show you only account 2 is able to submit to the campaign.

Better Visibility On Key Claims
When taking keys from campaigns, you can now see if the key will take a key claim slot.

LFG’s Integrated Into Campaigns
You can now see & create LFGs from the campaign page itself. LFG’s are a way to collaborate with other creators to record footage with and play games with new people.

Only 6 Days Left To Vote🫣

Jestr is officially sponsoring the Hidden Gem Award at The 2026 Streamer Awards.

This specific award is for a streamer who averages under 200 views, which is the most Jestr award on the entire list.

The nominee’s are up and you can now vote on who you want to see win the Hidden Gem Award.

Voting ends on October 31st, and the full stream will be live on Twitch and Youtube on November 12th at 8:30pm Eastern Time.

Steams Next Fest Ending Soon..

Tomorrow officially ends the last Next Fest of the year 👋

Jestr had 66 total campaigns running for the event and creators have earned over $330k this past week with still an ENTIRE day left of Next Fest.

We know everyone’s been super busy with campaigns, but we also hope you got to try some cool demos for yourself!

There’s still plenty of opportunities available for everyone and even more coming soon.

Thank you all for your hard work, this is just the start!

Quick shoutout to all the new members who joined the Onboarding session we had on Wednesday! We’re looking forward to your success here on Jestr ✨

That’s it for this weeks Jestr Recap! We’ll see you again next week 🫡

Welcome back to this weeks edition Jestr Recap 🎉

If it’s your first time here, the weekly Jestr Recap is our way of keeping you in the loop of everything going on in the community, without having to scrape through discord to find it.

We had a huge update that dropped this week, a winner for Jestr’s Indie Choice and Steams Next Fest right around the corner.

Lets dive in to what’s new in the community!

Big Update Drop 👀

Content Scheduler 🗓️

First and foremost, the long awaited content scheduler has finally come to Jestr 🥳

You’ll now be able to schedule your posts onto Youtube, Instagram, and TikTok directly from the Jestr dashboard.

Some of the cool features from using the content scheduler:

• You’ll be able to schedule both Jestr posts AND your other normal posts

• If you’re scheduling a post for an embargoed game, it will let you schedule the post and automatically submit it to the campaign for you. So you don’t need to worry about submitting after it’s posted

• If an embargo shifts, your scheduled post will automatically shift alongside the changed time so you never break embargo accidentally!

• Trial reels are supported, your settings are saved for subsequent posts, and everything is linked to the content calendar to make organizing your posts much more simple B)

Huge shoutout to our group of testers who volunteered the past couple weeks to help shape the content scheduler.

Targeted Campaign Responsiveness 🗣️

We’ve heard your concerns about responsiveness regarding targeted campaigns, so we decided to make it so studios must have an automated decision within 24/48/72 hours for targeted campaigns so you’re never left waiting for a response.

Additionally, if your video requires review, these will be automatically accepted within 48 hours of no response.

Finally, keys will ALWAYS be automatically available if the studio provides them in a targeted campaign - that way, you’re not waiting for yet another response.

NOTE: If keys run out, you’ll still need to wait until they add more unfortunately 😔

The Hidden Gem Award Presented By Jestr (Vote Now)🫣

Jestr is officially sponsoring the Hidden Gem Award at The 2026 Streamer Awards.

This specific award is for a streamer who averages under 200 views, which is the most Jestr award on the entire list.

The nominee’s are up and you can now vote on who you want to see win the Hidden Gem Award.

Steams Next Fest Starts Tomorrow and We Have..

Tomorrow kicks off the last Next Fest of the year and yes, we have 66 TOTAL GAMES for the event on Jestr 👀

From titles like Loftia to Inkblood, there are so many opportunities to cover games you’re interested in, and since they’re a part of Next Fest, you can play them too!

Last Next Fest we had 15 games in the top 50 when everything was said and done.

This event lets aim for 20 💪

If this is you’re first Next Fest at Jestr, you’re in for a WILD ride. Historically, this is one of our busiest events with plenty of opportunities to cover games you’ve been looking forward to.

Because of the influx of campaigns, here are some tips to stay organized and make the most out of Jestr during the event.

• Pick games you’re truly interested in. With a ton of campaigns to choose from, choose the ones that you really want to cover instead of trying to cover as many as possible. The process of creating content becomes easier when it’s something you truly want to cover.

• Use the calendar view. If you need a way to track when campaigns lift, or organize your videos for the week, use the Jestr Calendar to keep track of everything.

• Play games for enjoyment. One of the easiest traps to fall into is getting burnt out. Most of the time it’s because this passion of yours turns into feeling like a job. Play games to enjoy them, take moments to yourself and keep that passion alive!

Critical Reflex Watch Party 🍿

We are hosting a live watch party in discord for the second annual Critical Reflex digital showcase!

This event is hosted by indie publisher Critical Reflex to reveal brand-new trailers, massive world premieres, and upcoming game demos for over a dozen of their surreal, genre-bending titles.

The broadcast kicks off on Tuesday October 20th, at 1pm EST.

Hop into the Events VC to hang out, chat, and react live with the community as all the announcements unfold in real time. We hope to see you there!

Jestr’s Indie Choice: October Edition Winner 🏆

This month we’ve kicked off the Jestr’s Indie Choice: October Edition which featured 24 horror themed games for every Jestr creator to vote on.

This specific poll was extremely fun to watch because we had 5x the amount of votes than the last one! So before we dive into who won, we first want to thank everyone for participating. From the studios who presented their games, to the creators who voted.

If you don’t know what this is, Jestr’s Indie Choice is our way of supporting indie games who may not necessarily have the budget for marketing. So every month we’ll gather a list of games we think could use the extra love, and present them to our creators to vote on, and the winning game gets a campaign funded entirely by Jestr!

The winner of the Jestr’s Indie Choice: October Edition is.. Farsight by Studio Noori!

The next poll should be opening up soon with another fun edition so stay tuned to see when you can vote on the next one 🫡

Special Edition of the Creator Roundtable

With so many things going on this week, we unfortunately had to cancel this past weeks Creator Roundtable.

BUT, we have a VERY special edition planned for tomorrow, where Mahdeen himself will be conducting the reviews!

This is a very cool opportunity because he’s watched thousands of shortform content throughout Jestr, so he definitely knows a thing or two about shortform content.

If you’ve never been to a roundtable session before, this is an event where creators submit their content to be reviewed by the community, and get actionable feedback on what they can do to improve. If you want to be a part of the next creator roundtable, simply submit to this form and show up to the event on discord, Monday at 2pm EST!

However, everyone is welcome to join and listen in. The advice given to other creators are things you can apply to your own content.

Quick shoutout to all the new Jestr’s that attended this weeks onboarding session! We’re extremely happy to have you & we’re looking forward to your success here on Jestr ✨

That’s it for this weeks Jestr Recap! We’ll see you again next week 🫡

It’s time for another edition of Jestr Recap 🎉

The Triple-i Initiative was just a few days ago and I know everyone’s been busy, so this is our way of keeping you up to date on all the cool things going on in the community without having you scrape through the discord to find it.

So lets dive in to what’s new in the community 🫡

Triple I Initiative ✨

This week launched the Triple I initiative event on Jestr with some very exciting campaigns that went live on the site!

From well known games like Windrose and Dandelion Void to world premieres like The Escapists 3 and Volatiles. There were a lot of really cool games for everyone to cover!

We watched the showcase live in the Jestr Discord and seeing the reactions from everyone was extremely fun and we loved seeing what games everyone was excited for.

There are still campaigns from the event that are live so feel free to look at the event on Jestr to see which ones are still available!

Steam’s Next Fest Is Almost Here!

It’s almost that time again for Steam’s Next Fest 👀

If this is you’re first Next Fest at Jestr, you’re in for a WILD ride. Historically, this is one of our busiest events with a lot of campaigns dropping and more trickling in at the last minute.

Steam Next Fest is a week-long festival Steam runs a few times a year where hundreds of upcoming games put out playable demos for players to try out. Devs use it to build wishlists ahead of launch which means there’s a lot of opportunities for Jestr Creators.

Jestr’s Indie Choice Winner & New Poll 🏆

We presented 35 games for creators to vote on, and after tallying the votes, we had a definitive winner!

The cool thing about this specific poll, was that it was aimed at the Mobidictum Conference 2026 in Istanbul, which Mahdeen was actually attending in person. So we were able to present the very first winner of the Jestr’s Indie Choice, LIVE and the reaction was great.

The winner of that specific poll was The Facility, a psychological horror game about paranoia, identity, and the fear of trusting the wrong person.

You can view the results here if you want to see who the top 5 were!

We also launched the Jestr’s Indie Choice: October Edition last week with the theme of “Horror Games” and the reception was better than we expected!

The next poll should be opening up soon 👀Keep an eye on it at www.jestr.gg/polls and place your vote on what game you want to see on Jestr when it goes live!

Creator Roundtable

First off, huge shoutout to Alex for hosting this week’s Jestr Roundtable!

One of the interest things talked about in this weeks session was CTA’s, or “Call to Actions”. If you don’t know what this is, it’s the moment where you as the creator get a chance to convince the viewer that you’re worth following.

Simple lines like, “I find unique games for you to check out” or “I find hidden gems everyday”, gives the viewer a reason to follow you.

One of the creators reviewed this week came back after receiving feedback a couple months ago. His CTA used to be 5 seconds long which in shortform, feels like an eternity and is usually the exact moment viewers scroll past your video. However, after getting advice to cut his CTA down to 3 seconds MAX, his retention skyrocketed which in turn improved the video’s performance.

If you take a look at some of the top creators, you might see a super short CTA.

“I’m [Name], [CTA], This game is [Game]”

That’s usually all the information the viewer needs to be convinced. Who you are, why they should follow you, and what the name of the game is. How you present it, is completely up to you.

You might see creators put the game name earlier in the video and end off with “follow me for x-y-z” and that works too!

Experiment with your CTA and look at your analytics afterwards. If there’s a steep drop-off during that exact moment, experiment with different ways to present it.

If you’ve never been to a roundtable session before, this is an event where creators submit their content to be reviewed by the community, and get actionable feedback on what they can do to improve. If you want to be a part of the next creator roundtable, simply submit to this form and show up to the event on discord, Mondays at 2pm EST!

However, everyone is welcome to join and listen in. The advice given to other creators are things you can apply to your own content.

The Darkside of Content Creation

There’s something in content creation that no one talks about.

And it’s how lonely content creation can be. Not “sad” lonely, just structurally lonely. You’re in a room by yourself, recording by yourself, editing by yourself, posting by yourself. The win happens alone. The flop happens alone. Sometimes it feels like the entire job is just you and a timeline.

So if you’ve been feeling burnt out lately, or weirdly demotivated even when things are going well, that isn’t a sign you’re failing. It’s usually a sign you’ve been doing the same thing, in the same room, for too long.

A few things that actually help:

Surround yourself with people who are fun to be around. Not just people who make content. People you’d want to hang out with regardless. Think about the difference between going to the gym with someone versus going and actually working out together. One is two people doing their own thing in the same building. The other is a shared effort. Most creator spaces are together alone. What you want is alone together: everybody doing their own work, but genuinely in it with each other.

Change how you work, not just what you make. New editing style, new filming order, new day of the week, do things standing up for once. Keeping the process interesting is half the fight. Boredom disguises itself as burnout constantly.

Have something to work toward that isn’t a number. Views and follower counts are terrible motivators because you don’t control them. Swap the question. Instead of “what do I want to do next,” ask “what do I want to learn next” or “what do I want to experiment with next.” Those you control, and they compound.

If you’re in that spot right now, reach out. Drop into the working channel and meet new creators, DM a creator you vibe with, hop into some of the events. Reach out when you need to, and find friends who genuinely want to see you succeed.

Quickly, I just want to shoutout all the new Jestrs that joined recently, and to the ones who attended this weeks Onboarding Session, it was a pleasure getting to meet you all! If you have any questions regarding how things work, the next Onboarding Session will be on October 21st at 2pm in the Jestr Discord! Feel free to join up and ask your questions live!

That’s it for this weeks Jestr Recap! We’ll see you again next week 🫡

Welcome back everyone to this weeks edition of the Jestr Recap 🎉

September was filled with a lot of great events, some of which came to a close this past week, but it also kicked off October which already has so many things to be excited about.

If this is your first time here, the Jestr Recap is our way of keeping you up to date on all the cool things going on in the community without having you scrape through the discord to find it.

There’s a LOT to unpack, so lets dive in to what’s new in the community 🫡

Creator Roundtable

First off, huge shoutout to Alex for hosting this week’s Jestr Roundtable!

This week’s session was interesting because all four creators came in already making genuinely good content. So instead of fixing fundamentals, the conversation went somewhere more useful:

What should you actually be experimenting on?

Almost everyone who submitted this week was experimenting on their hook which is great. The hook is the highest-leverage part of your video and absolutely worth testing. But it’s not the only variable you’ve got, and the other ones are just as important.

In almost every video reviewed this week, the stayed to watch percentage was around the 60-70% range, which is actually pretty decent. What it needs is refining, not replacing. And while you’re dialing that in, there’s another piece that most creators never touch.

What happens after the hook is the second most important piece of the puzzle. This is where retention needs to be the forefront of your content strategy. Now that you’ve gotten them to stop scrolling, the next question to answer is “How do I keep them watching”? However, that answer is almost never the same. We wrote about his more in a blog we posted, if you want to learn more you can check it out here.

Use your analytics data to see at what point in the video viewers are dropping off. Note that exact moment, and rewatch your video. What did you say? What was on screen? Why do you think they left at that moment? Then try to answer that question in your next video.

What’s New in the Community?

We announced the Jestr’s Indie Choice 🏆

This is something we’re truly excited to announce. A few weeks ago, we threw out an idea about presenting to you guys a list of games that you can vote on, and the winner will get a fully funded Jestr campaign.

After seeing how supportive the community was to that idea, we decided to run the first ever “Jestr’s Indie Choice” poll for the Mobidictum Conference 2026 and it was a great success. So many of you voted and we’re super excited to announce the winner soon!

However, we’ve kicked off another Jestr’s Indie Choice for October! We’re currently taking applications for horror indie games until October 9th. Then, the best 24 games will be available for every Jestr creator to vote on.

So if you know any horror indies who might be able to make use of this opportunity, send them over to https://www.jestr.gg/polls and enter their game for a chance to make it through to the voting round!

The Theory of Intentional Editing 🥳

So this past Thursday, we ran a workshop with Biffmatic where he gave his insights on the theory of intentional editing, and it was SUPER valuable.

If you couldn’t make it to the event, no worries. We should have the recording posted for you guys shortly, but some of the more interesting things talked about in this workshop was how everything inside a video, needs to earn the attention of the viewer. The pacing, the cuts, the sounds and visuals you put into your edits all need to align with how you want the viewers journey to look like. And that all starts BEFORE you even open your editing softtware.

To close this out, thank you Biff for sharing your knowledge with all of us and shoutout to everyone who attended! Hopefully there were some insights that you found useful to start incorporating into your own processes, and stay tuned for future events!

Triple I Initiative Watch Party 🍿

We’re hosting a watch party for the Triple I Initiative showcase his Thursday!

This event is a pretty big deal for indie lovers because its a 45 minute showcase of high quality indie titles with no hosts, no ads, and no distractions. Just back to back announcements from game trailers, gameplay reveals, launch dates and even world premieres.

If you didn’t already know, Jestr has Partnered with the Triple I initiative bringing some really cool games to the Jestr website!

Join us in the event channel on discord this Thursday if you want to watch it with other members of the community 🍿

We Launched the Jestr Archives 🎬

Over the past year, one of the most common questions we’ve been getting is “Will the events be recorded and where can I watch them?”

The answer is yes, most events are recorded however, we wanted to first present it in a way that’s intuitive and had a proper place to house them. But that means, a couple things needed to happen first.

We launched the Creator Hub a little bit ago to serve as a place built FOR creators. Resources, updates, learning materials, etc. Well we’re excited to say, that we’ve been making updates to the creator hub to organize things a little better.

More recently, adding in the long awaited Jestr Archives! Where you can watch previous recordings of Roundtables and Events without feeling like you’ve missed out on value.

It’s already getting populated with videos too, so if you haven’t checked it out, head over to the Creator Hub to see it!

Jestr’s Choice Award: September 2026 Winners ✨

The winners of Septembers edition of Jestr’s Choice was announced on Saturday!

This edition was one of our favorites, because every creator on there has shown huge growth in their content. Some winners have an amazing editing style, some are talented scriptwriters, but all of them displayed their personality through making things they enjoy.

You can read the in-depth breakdown here!

If this is your first time hearing about it, Jestr’s Choice is our way of showing appreciation to creators who consistently shock us with the quality of their work, the personality they put into their craft, and are individuals that genuinely show their passion for content creation.

Congrats again to all the winners 🥳

The Finale of Subtember to Remember was Iconic 🏁

This past Wednesday wrapped up our month-long Subtember to Remember event, and we opened up the last day with the first ever Jestr Team Stream.

You can watch the full VOD here if you missed it!

First off, shoutout to Preacher and Eric for setting up this amazing event. They also helped us set-up our own stream which is when we realized how much work actually goes into streaming.

It’s not just the energy it takes to stream itself, but there is so much to manage and build behind the scenes.. We have so much respect to all streamers for the dedication you all have to the craft.

If this is your first time hearing about Subtember to Remember, this event was put together to support the streamers in the community, by collaborating on an organized raid train schedule that ran every Monday & Wednesday through the entire month of September.

Shoutout to all the creators that participated this past month! We love seeing the community support each other through events like this, and again HUGE shoutout to Preacher & MrEricAlmighty for making this all possible! :)

That’s it for this weeks Jestr Recap! We’ll see you again next week 🫡

PS: If you’re new here, we have an onboarding session coming up this Wednesday where a member of the Jestr team will give a rundown on how the platform works, and can answer any of your questions live! Feel free to join up in the Jestr Discord on Wednesday 2pm EST in the events voice channel!

If this is your first time hearing about it, Jestr’s Choice is our way of showing appreciation to creators who consistently shock us with the quality of their work, the personality they put into their craft, and are individuals that genuinely show their passion for content creation.

Lets dive in to this months winners!

Lord Rollie

Lord Rollie is a creator who has recently transformed his approach to content creation. He’s been a part of the Jestr roundtable twice, first to nail down the fundamentals, and most recently to lean into a newer style he genuinely enjoys. Along the way, he’s tapped into the art of atmospheric storytelling, treating short-form recommendations like immersive cinematic experiences by carefully synchronizing sound design, vocal delivery, and scene cuts.

The most recent example is his breakdown of Nivalis Nights. Using a breathy swoosh transition effect paired with intentional fast paced cuts that feel like real-time flashbacks, he builds immediate anticipation before anchoring the viewer with a slow, low-register voiceover that perfectly leans into the game’s cozy but moody cyberpunk atmosphere. Closing it all out with a seamless CTA that funnels the viewer into his longform content.

Snoozle

Snoozle is a creator who showcases a level of creative editing that makes her content feel genuinely fun and effortless. She builds immersive skits for her intros by transforming her physical background and setting to match the exact aesthetic and tone of the game she’s showcasing.

She demonstrates this creativity perfectly in her showcase for Berry Bury Berry. She opens standing in her kitchen before physically falling through a hole in her floor to dive straight into the gameplay, instantly drawing viewers into the game’s weird, bottomless-pit premise.

WatermelonGames

Watermelon is a creator who knows exactly how to hold an audience’s attention from the very first frame. He has an incredible knack for crafting hooks that throw his viewers straight into a weird and unexpected gameplay problem. Using fast cuts, sharp audio cues, and constant momentum to keep people watching all the way through.

He pulls this off in his spotlight for Greed & Darkness. He skips the standard intro and starts with a ridiculous, high-stakes hook: “In this game, the monsters don’t just attack you, they snitch on you.” From there, he quickly stacks up the in-game trade-offs that constantly increases the tension the whole way through the video.

And that’s a wrap on this months edition of Jestr’s Choice 🥳

Shoutout to all the amazing creators that were picked this month!

Its such an honor to be a small part in all of your journeys. This is our favorite time of the month because we really to get experience the growth in everyone’s content which makes it REALLY hard for us to choose between.

As always, keep experimenting, keep finding your own style, and most importantly, keep making content you’re genuinely proud of.

Thanks for reading, and we’ll see you in the next one 🫡

Kon’nichiwa and Welcome back to this weeks edition of the Jestr Recap 🎉

If you didn’t already know, the Jestr team returned safely this week from Japan after attending the Tokyo Game Show 2026 and we’re already cooking things up in the backend!

If this is your first time here, the Jestr Recap is our way of keeping you up to date on all the cool things going on in the creator community without having you scrape through the discord to find it. From recaps of the creator roundtables to exciting things that were announced.

There’s a lot to cover from the past couple weeks, so lets get into it!

Creator Roundtable

First off, huge shoutout to Alex & Biff for hosting this weeks Jestr Roundtable!

One of the more interesting focus points this week was do I need a good PC to edit?

The short answer is absolutely not. Creators in this community are putting up strong numbers with a single audio transition and very little editing. One of our bigger creators built his channel editing showcases on his phone, on the bus, on the way to and from work. What those videos have in common isn’t production value.

Flashy editing is one style among many, BUT it’s an innovation layer, something you add once the fundamentals are locked in. The fundamentals are the important things that need to land. A tight hook, a script that builds, and a clean CTA. Get those right and simple INTENTIONAL edits are more than enough. Get those wrong and no amount of effects or transitions can save the video.

We actually have something super exciting lined up next week that dives deeper into this so stay tuned 👀

What’s New in the Community?

New Workshop Scheduled for Next Week 🥳

We’ve put together a workshop with someone extremely talented in what he does, and his passion and love for gaming shows through his content. One of his recent posts was even showcased in an article for pcgamer!

Biffmatic is a creator who consistently produces high quality content, seeing insane growth through his ability to craft engaging scripts and pair them with fast-paced, technical and intentional edits. He has been a pillar in the Jestr community, always willing to help others and now we’re able to do it at a bigger scale.

Join us in the Jestr Discord Stage on Thursday while we explore the Theory of Intentional Editing, where Biff gives his personal insight on key editing fundamentals, the mentality of intention, and shares a peek into how his process flows from the beginning to the final cut.

Clear Your Schedules, October is going to be INSANE 🗓️

October is genuinely going to be one of our busiest months yet. Not only is Steam’s Next Fest returning, but we’ve officially partnered with the Triple I showcase!

Next Fest is week long event on Seam running from October 19th - 26th, where hundreds of games put out public demos for everyone to play. The catch is, only the games with the most traction get displayed on Steams front page during the event. Historically for Jestr, this event is ALWAYS busy with opportunities for creators. However, this month specifically, this isn’t the only big event we have lined up for you.

We’ve collaborated with the The Triple I showcase earlier this year which was HUGE, but this time, we’ve officially partnered with them.

The event is a 45 minute stream that will go live on October 8th, featuring back to back trailers with no ads, no hosts, no interruptions. Its a huge event for indies, so expect to see campaigns rolling in for that here shortly!

We’re doing something special for the Subtember to Remember Finale 🏁

Next week is the LAST week of our Subtember to Remember event, and so far its been a HUGE success!

This Wednesday wraps up the entire event, and we have something special planned for the last day.

After a lot of deliberation, the JESTR team will be streaming LIVE during the last day of Subtember to Remember hosted by Mahdeen 🎉

It will be his first time ever streaming, chatting with the community and playing games with members of the Jestr team.

If this is your first time hearing about Subtember to Remember, this event was put together to support the streamers in the community, by collaborating on an organized raid train schedule that ran every Monday & Wednesday through the entire month of September.

Shoutout to all the creators that participated this past month! We love seeing the community support each other through events like this, and a HUGE shoutout to Preacher & MrEricAlmighty for making this all possible! :)

We sponsored an award at The Streamer Awards 🫣

We mentioned it a couple of weeks ago, but Jestr is officially sponsoring the Hidden Gem Award at The 2026 Streamer Awards.

This specific award is for a streamer who averages under 200 views, which is the most Jestr award on the entire list.

Although Jestr is a shortform focused platform, we recognize the amount of creators who have a passion for streaming. It would be absolute cinema if the award sponsored by Jestr, was won by a Jestr creator! That being said, if you have someone in the community that you want to vote for, you can vote for them directly on the Streamer Awards website!

Voting ends on October 31st, and the full stream will be live on Twitch and Youtube on November 12th at 8:30pm Eastern Time.

👉 You can check out The 2026 Streamer Awards here!

That’s it for this weeks Jestr Recap! We’ll see you again next week 🫡

Welcome back to this weeks edition of the Jestr Recap 🎉

We had so much going on this past week and we’re excited to catch you up on everything, from the Roundtable, Feedback Friday, and some of the more exciting things that happened this week in the Jestr Discord.

We’ve got a packed week to run through so let’s get into it!

Creator Roundtable

First off, huge shoutout to Biff for hosting this weeks Jestr Roundtable!

One of the more interesting things talked about in this week’s session was how opinions can be used as a branding tool.

Inserting phrases like “I think” and “which in my opinion”... it sounds small, but it’s actually the difference between a showcase video and a personality. Without an opinion, viewers are just watching a list of features, nothing to agree with, nothing to argue with, nothing to remember you by.

The moment you take a stance, even a small one, people are reacting to you and not just the game, and that’s usually what turns a viewer into someone who actually follows your channel.

Feedback Friday

This week’s Feedback Friday was EXTREMELY insightful!

We had a great discussion regarding improvements & issues raised by the community. Most notably:

• The key application process

• Minimum campaign submission slots

• Quality of Life improvements to discoverability and filtering on the platform

Along with some clarity on certain aspects of Jestr.

We say this every week, but we are so grateful to have such an engaged community. So thank you to everyone who made it out to the session, let their voices be heard, and are dedicated to building Jestr overall.

Being unhappy with certain aspects of the platform DOES NOT mean your ungrateful. Jestr has been, and always will be, a creator-FIRST platform. So thank you to everyone for making your voices known.

We heard your pain points, we loved the ideas everyone had, and we see the reasoning behind it. We PROMISE you, we’re gonna cook.

What’s New in the Community?

We sponsored an award at The Streamer Awards 🫣

Jestr is officially sponsoring the Hidden Gem Award at The 2026 Streamer Awards.

If you don’t know the category, this award is for a streamer who deserves way more eyes than they’re getting. Which, if we’re being honest, is the most Jestr award on the entire list. Half this community is made up of people with a passion to make content creation a full time gig. That category exists for you guys.

How cinematic would it be to see a Jestr creator win that award, in a category we’re sponsoring. Let’s make it happen! We should nominate someone from our community who’s been putting in the work and hasn’t caught their break yet.

Voting ends on October 31st, and the full stream will be live on Twitch and Youtube on November 12th at 8:30pm Eastern Time.

👉 You can check out The 2026 Streamer Awards here!

More creators following their dream ✨

We’ve said it many times before, but we measure our success not by the amount of campaigns we bring you, but how many of you we can make full-time. This week alone we had 3 amazing creators who are able to do what they’re passionate about, and do it now as a full time content creator!

It’s so crazy to look back and remember when these creators first entered the Jestrsphere. To witness their journey first hand is absolutely incredible to us.

WishuSan

“Almost 3 months ago i stumbled across Jestr, met some genuinely amazing people and found even more motivation to keep posting content and doing my best. I had around 4k followers back then and fast forward to today.. i just hit 10k on instagram!! But the biggest W of all is that content creation has reached a point where i can earn enough to leave my irl job and focus on this full time, while still being able to support my mom and my brother.”

Roopy

“For the past 10.5 years it’s been my dream to be a streamer. I’ve always been able to easily make people laugh, and I want to do that on a larger scale. Being an entertainer is all I’ve ever wanted to do. I’ve been very inconsistent over the years, but Jestr has given me the opportunity to improve my content, and receive the financial stability to keep doing it long term.”

AdamDNS

“I took a big leap, but after a lot of thought, I’m going full-time as a Jestr creator. I handed in my notice at my job last week, and by the end of next week I’ll be completely free. Honestly, I’ve basically been focusing only on this for a good while now anyway. As far as I know, I’m the only creator from my country taking this leap. Wish me luck!”

A huge shoutout to these amazing creators 🎉 We are truly honored to be a part of your success, and will continue to support you in your journey.

A Campaign No One Expected 👀

This week we ran a campaign for Valheim’s 1.0 release, and the community reaction was priceless.

Valheim isn’t a small game. It’s been out for years, it’s got millions of players, and it has coverage everywhere. So seeing it come through genuinely caught people off guard.

Because it means this thing we’ve been building for the past year is starting to show. Studios of that size don’t come to a platform unless they trust the creators on it, and that trust was earned by you guys, not by us. Every campaign you’ve submitted to, every piece of content you’ve put out, every bit of quality you’ve raised the bar with, that’s what got a name like Valheim in the door.

So expect more of this. We’re not slowing down.

Subtember to Remember Event

This week also kicked off the Subtember to Remember event with streamers from all over Jestr.

It was fun to see all your different personalities and talent as entertainers! Mahdeen himself made his own Twitch account to participate and support the creators who participated!

Who knows, maybe he’ll even do a stream of his own for this event 🤷

If this is your first time hearing about Subtember to Remember, this event was put together to support the streamers in the community, by collaborating on an organized raid train schedule that runs every Monday & Wednesday through the entire month of September.

If you’re interested in participating in the event, you can sign up through this form, and the lovely hosts will reach out via discord!

We love seeing the community support each other through events like this, and we’ll definitely be there to show support! :)

Before we wrap up, we just want to welcome in all the new Jestr’s that joined this past week, and shoutout the creators who joined the onboarding session on Wednesday! It was a pleasure meeting all of you, and thank you for giving us the opportunity to clear up any questions you had about the platform. We look forward to your success here ✨

That’s it for this weeks Jestr Recap! We’ll see you again next week 🫡

Hey guys!

Welcome to the very first Jestr Recap 🎉

We’ve wanted to do something like this for a while now, where we can keep you in the loop on everything happening across the community: from roundtables, feedback sessions, new events or whatever else we’ve been cooking up behind the scenes.

Every week, we’ll drop a recap just like this one so you never have to dig through Discord to catch up on what you missed.

So lets get into it, here's what's been happening this week, and what's coming next!!

Creator Roundtable

First off, shoutout to Alex (ThatsNotFamilyFriendly) for hosting the Jestr Roundtable this past week!

One of the big things talked about in this session was Hooks, specifically how to layer in a second beat of tension right after your opening line, instead of just stating what the video is about. Adding a small “but,” a twist, an open loop before paying anything off can be the difference between a scroll-stopper and a watch-through.

We actually dove a little deeper into how to keep viewers watching after the hook in one of our recent blogs here!

The Jestr Roundtable has been, and will continue to be, one of the most valuable community-driven resources we have to offer. The creators who’ve participated have received tons of valuable insights and the growth SHOWS.

Feedback Friday

Mahdeen hosted this week’s Feedback Friday and he gave some great insights on the direction of the platform and the general sentiment around Jestr at Gamescom.

We had a great discussion regarding what’s being actively prioritized by the team, and some great conversations around what’s coming up. Specifically:

• The status on the Key Claim System rework

• Campaign Guardrails & Submission Rules

• Collection campaigns, and the general sentiment around mobile games.

• Upcoming events, showcases, merch ideas, and the next potential Jestr Meet-Up at Pax East

We can’t express how grateful we are as a team to have such an engaged community. A LOT of the quality of life updates and positive changes to the platform are the result of the feedback you guys give us in these calls and in the feedback channel.

What’s Coming Up?

Jestr Weekly Gaming Sessions 🎮

Here is this week’s LFG Schedule!

Every Sunday, we’ll release a schedule of what game will be played on each day, then we’ll open up LFG groups for creators to opt into. This will be announced weekly in the gaming discord channel with a notification ping sent out to those with the LFG tag!

And YES, we will provide keys to everyone who joins the Jestr Hosted Games! So now you can play with other creators without losing any of your key claim slots!

We’re aiming to host 3 sessions a day at various times to accommodate creators from different parts of the world. So if you see a game you want to play, and a timeslot that works best for you, feel free to opt in and collaborate with other creators!

Subtember to Remember Event

This week kicks off the Subtember to Remember twitch event hosted by our fellow streamers Preacher & MrEricAlmighty!

This event was put together to support the streamers in the community, by collaborating on an organized raid train schedule that runs every Monday & Wednesday through the entire month of September.

If you’re interested in participating in the event, you can sign up through this form, and the lovely hosts will reach out via discord!

We love seeing the community support each other through events like this, and we’ll definitely be there to show support! :)

A quick shout-out to all the new Jestr’s that joined this week and attended the onboarding session on Wednesday! It was great to see new faces in the community, and we look forward to seeing your success ✨

That’s it for this weeks Jestr Recap! We’ll see you again next week 🫡

If this is your first time hearing about it, Jestr’s Choice is our way of showing appreciation to creators who consistently shock us with the quality of their work, the personality they put into their craft, and are individuals that remind us of the beauty in content creation.

Last month, we put a unique spin on Jestr’s Choice, where each member of the Jestr team chose one creator that they wanted to highlight. This month, we decided to do something different yet again!

Since it’s no secret that we’ve just added a new member to the Jestr Family, we thought it’d be a great idea to let Jay showcase his top 5 content creators to highlight in this edition.

So, without further ado, here are the Jestr’s Choice winners for August, handpicked by the newest member of the Jestr team!

Bullethammer

Bullethammer is a creator who revolutionized how indie games are showcased by popularizing the simulated “Steam react” format. Blending live-streamer comedic bits with genuine audience interaction.

He displays it perfectly in his video about Mr. Trippy. Rather than simply reacting to the trailer, he actively engages his audience beforehand. Polling his community with a question that sets up a perfect comedic payoff once the trailer plays into it.

Shades of Nate

Shades of Nate is a creator whose content keeps you locked into exactly what’s happening and why it matters. He narrates his gameplay in real time, building tension deliberately instead of rushing through it, so every moment feels intentional rather than filler.

In his video about Iron Nest, he talks through everything as it happens, so you’re never left wondering what’s going on or why it matters. Every second is doing something, leaving no dead air for the viewer to check out in. And by leaning into the build-up instead of rushing past it, he turns the payoff into something you’re actually anticipating, not just watching happen.

Wishu

Wishu is a creator whose high-level editing ensures there’s constant visual energy keeping you completely locked into the video. Instead of relying purely on voiceover to carry the momentum, her slick, fast-paced edits give every second purpose, creating a viewing experience that feels lively, engaging, and impossible to look away from.

In her video about Mall: Tidy Up Together, she seamlessly integrates expressive VTuber avatar cutaways, snappy visual gags, and fast-paced graphic overlays with smooth gameplay transitions. The editing matches the satisfying, chaotic rhythm of cleaning up an entire disaster-ridden mall, turning what could be repetitive gameplay into a high-energy ride that keeps the viewer entertained from start to finish.

Gem Gaming Network

Gem Gaming Network is a creator who’s content blends peak retention techniques with his INSANE editing capabilities. His willingness to experiment with his work shows in the quality of his videos, combining elements from the best formats across the platform.

In his video about 1666: Amsterdam, he combines high-retention scriptwriting, contextual audio cues, dynamic text animations, and even using a character model into one seamless package. Blending some of the strongest retention mechanics currently working across short-form, and keeping the audience hooked from frame one.

Indie First

Indie First is a channel whose content frames indie games with the polish, authority, and cinematic scope we see in bigger titles. They craft narrative driven pitches that look past simple feature lists, focusing instead on world-building, tone, and lore to turn every preview into an immersive story.

In their video about The Eternal Life of Goldman, they lean directly into that. Setting the atmosphere in the very first sentence. Ensuring that every visual gives context and purpose, which turns a quick short into a compelling video.

And that’s a wrap on Jestr’s Choice August 2026 edition 🥳

Every month you guys continue to surprise us with your creativity and passion for content. There is so much talent and growth within the community, which makes it really hard for us to choose between so many great creators!

So shout out to all the awesome creators featured this month!

As always, keep experimenting, keep finding your own style, and most importantly, keep making stuff you’re genuinely proud of.

Thanks for reading, and we’ll see you in the next one 🫡

If you’re new here, Jestr’s Choice is our way of showing some extra love to creators who consistently punch above their weight, produce incredible content, and make us proud to have them as part of the Jestr community.

Usually, choosing the recipients is a group effort. The Jestr team puts our heads together, gets input from Jestr reps, and eventually comes to a consensus on five creators we think deserve the spotlight.

For July, we decided to switch things up a bit 👀

This month, every member of the Jestr team got to personally choose one creator! That means six winners instead of the usual five, but more importantly, six picks that each represent what someone on our team personally loves about great content.

What’s important is that we all notice and value different things. For some of us, it might be storytelling or humour. For others, it’s editing, consistency, or even community involvement. There’s way too much talent in this community for us not to each have our own favourites.

So, without further ado, here are the Jestr’s Choice winners for July, handpicked by the Jestr team!

JustJarrod

Théo’s Pick

JustJarrod is a creator best known for his iconic bird character, dry sense of humour, and incredibly chill delivery. Watching his videos feels like talking to a friend about games: natural, funny, and never overly scripted. Théo especially resonated with his dry humour, which, paired with great editing and a style that’s instantly recognizable, gives his content a friendly feel to it.

In his video about Crimson Moon, that laid-back style especially shines through. Instead of rushing his sentences or optimizing every second for “typical short-form” delivery, he takes his time and speaks like he’s simply sharing his honest thoughts about a game. It makes the whole video feel refreshingly genuine and easy to watch.

Cloudual

Val’s Pick

Cloudual is a creator who genuinely cares about the developers behind the games he covers, and it shows. He’s built his community from the ground up, using Jestr not only to find more opportunities, but to develop a brand and identity that feel entirely his own. Val especially admires the dedicated community he’s built and sees him as the kind of creator we should all aspire to become.

In his video about Dawn of Defense, he makes the developers the heroes of the story. He highlights what such a small team was able to accomplish while showcasing the creative gameplay mechanics that make their game stand out, especially highlighting the innovation that’s only possible by an indie team.

Sulei

Dawas’ Pick

Sulei is a creator who’s always willing to learn and never lets ego get in the way. He actively reaches out, takes criticism, and continuously finds ways to improve his content. He even popularized the iconic finger-pointing hook that tons of creators in the community have since taken inspiration from. Dawas also gives him bonus points for sharing a name with his favourite wrestler, Randy Orton ;)

In his video about Low-Budget Repairs, that improvement is obvious and it feels like he knows exactly what keeps people watching. His hooks are intriguing, his pacing is on point, and the energy behind his delivery makes the entire video genuinely fun to watch.

Trrisaa

David’s Pick

Trrisaa is a creator whose content thrives on authentic reactions, unshakeable energy, and the hilarious dynamic she has with her partner. Her gameplay clips never feel forced or overproduced, they’re simply entertaining because she’s genuinely having fun. David especially loves that authenticity and finds himself cracking up at pretty much every video she makes.

In her video about Storebound, the constant bickering between her and her partner, mixed with her high energy and funny facial reactions, makes for the kind of video you can’t help but smile through the entire time.

luvREOHH

Hamza’s Pick

luvREOHH is a creator that has a knack for making every second of his videos funny. Between hilarious scriptwriting, perfectly timed delivery, and his unpredictable use of sound effects, there’s always something keeping you entertained. Hamza especially loves the SFX, which somehow manage to catch him off guard every time.

In his video about Emergency Buddies, he pairs a silly script with a completely monotone delivery, while unexpected sound effects constantly break your expectations. It keeps the video fast-paced, unpredictable, and very entertaining from start to finish.

Rosette Bloodthorn

Mahdeen’s Pick

Rosette is a phenomenal editor with a great personality who always finds a way to make her Jestr videos feel natural and personal through her own little stories. Mahdeen especially appreciates how she incorporates her chat, making each video feel like an extension of her streams while building a recognizable brand around her content.

In her video about Cinderia, she does exactly that by leaning into the absurdity of an in-game moment and bouncing off her chat’s reactions. It turns a funny gameplay clip into something that not only showcases the game in an intriguing light, but also does so in a truly authentic way.

That’s a wrap on our special July edition of Jestr’s Choice 🥳

Shout out to all six creators featured this month, and a huge thank you to everyone who continues to make this community such a ridiculously talented place.

If there’s one thing this edition made especially clear, it’s that there’s no single formula for making great content. Every person on our team gravitated toward something different, because every creator brings something unique to the table!

As Jestr continues to grow, there are more and more creators giving us reasons to pay attention. So keep experimenting, keep finding your own style, and most importantly, keep making stuff you’re proud of.

Oh, and if you guys liked this special team-pick edition, let us know. We might just have to make this the new norm…

Thanks for reading, and we’ll see you in the next one 🫡

Last month, we launched this series as a way to highlight creators who consistently impress us with the quality, creativity, and originality of their content. The response from you all was awesome, so we’re back with another lineup of creators whose work has stood out across the Jestr community.

One of the coolest parts of building Jestr has been seeing how differently creators approach showing off the exact same game. Some lean into storytelling, some focus on comedy, some absolutely min-max their editing, and others nerd out over every little game mechanic they can find.

That’s what Jestr’s Choice is all about.

While views, earnings, and submission counts are all things still worth celebrating, this series is our chance to recognize creators who are carving out their own style, taking creative risks, and building something that feels uniquely theirs.

Again, this list is not ranked. There’s no “best creator” here. Every person featured stands out for different reasons, and that’s exactly why we chose them.

With that out of the way, let’s get to the creators.

QmanBean

QmanBean is a creator who truly cares about the art of video making, and it’s evident in every one of his posts. Every piece of content he produces is crafted with clear intention, with smooth script delivery, intentional lighting, and visual cohesion that elevates even simple gameplay into something far more cinematic. Instead of presenting games in a purely informational way, he leans into immersion, making it feel like he’s actively inside the experience he’s describing.

In his video about Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth, the level of commitment really stands out. From the full winter outfit to the carefully placed childhood photos, he does a great job of evoking a genuine sense of nostalgia, making you feel the game’s emotional tone rather than just learning about it.

Drift Lissa

Drift Lissa stands out on Jestr as a creator who focuses on what comes after the initial hype cycle, making in-depth guides and tutorial-style content that helps players understand how games work on a deeper level. While most coverage stops at first impressions, she goes further, breaking down interactions, systems, and mechanics in a way that’s both accessible and genuinely useful.

In her video about Far Far West, you can see exactly how effective this approach is. Instead of just highlighting what the game looks like, she digs into how its systems interact and what players can actually do with them, leaving you with a much clearer understanding of the game and how to engage with it.

Biffmatic

Biffmatic is a creator who has seen explosive growth due to his ability to consistently deliver high-quality showcase content. He constantly challenges assumptions about what “works” on short form, focusing on games he has a genuine passion for like RTS titles, colony sims, and automation games. It’s his ability to package seemingly niche or complex games in an engaging way, combined with his fast-paced editing style, that keeps you hooked from start to finish.

In his video about Main Sequence, he does a great job of speaking directly to fans of more niche genres, referencing other popular titles while focusing on the mechanics they care about most. He highlights things like procedural generation, automated supply routes, and empire building, making the game feel instantly familiar and appealing to that audience.

Jacombo

Jacombo is a creator whose content feels instantly comfortable to watch, built around him and his friends playing games together, messing around, and just enjoying the moment. What makes him stand out from other gameplay creators is how he’s been able to build a brand through incorporating his daughter into videos. Their hilarious dynamic makes for incredibly memorable shorts you always find yourself laughing at.

In his video about Project: Doors, that dynamic really shines through. You can hear her jumping into conversations with jokes that are genuinely funny on their own, made even better by how unfiltered they are. The contrast between her baby voice and the surprisingly chaotic humour creates moments that are both hilarious and unexpectedly wholesome.

And that’s a wrap on Jestr’s Choice May 2026 edition 🥳

Shout out to the awesome creators featured this month. As Jestr continues to grow, these choices are only getting harder, with more and more talent emerging across the community that we’re excited to keep highlighting! If you’re focused on quality and consistency, don’t worry - you might just see your name in here soon ;)

Thanks for reading, and we’ll see you in June!

It’s about the craft.

These are creators who are consistently sharpening their style, experimenting with new ideas, and making videos that leave a lasting impression long after you scroll.

Every creator featured here was chosen through conversations with ambassadors, reps, and studios, along with our own opinions after spending WAY too much time doomscrolling…

As a quick disclaimer, this list is not ranked as there’s no “best creator” here. Every creator on this list stands out for different reasons, whether it’s storytelling, humour, editing, authenticity, or just having a brand that feels entirely their own!

Our goal with Jestr’s Choice is simple: recognize great work, celebrate the people behind it, and inspire more creators in the community to keep making stuff they’re proud of.

Okay that’s enough yapping, here’s our first ever Jestr’s Choice lineup!

CutCine

CutCine has quickly distinguished himself as one of the most unique creators on Jestr, proving that video-essay style content can thrive, even in short form. Every video he makes feels cinematic. He doesn’t just show what makes a game special, he makes you feel why it matters. That’s not an easy thing to pull off in under a minute, but it’s what makes his content stand out so much.

In his video about Tiny Bookshop, you can see exactly what we mean. The captions, the narration, and the way he describes the emotion behind the cozy game is captivating and truly makes you feel like you’re watching a movie.

CTPlays

CTPlays has built one of the most recognizable brands on Jestr by fully committing to a retro-inspired presentation that feels more like an experience than a standard game video. Every piece of his content feels intentional. The low poly character model, the drum and bass background music, and the constant use of retro game sfx all work together to create a consistent nostalgic vibe from start to finish.

In his video about MOTORSLICE, you can see how cleverly he weaves his brand into a showcase style video. Through retro game references, sound design, and visual cues, he manages to turn a simple showcase video into something that feels fully stylized to match his vibe.

Mildsoss

Mildsoss has been part of Jestr since the very start and is one of the fastest growing short form gaming creators in the space. While his branding is iconic, his big strength is his storytelling. Every video feels heavily researched, but never in a way that feels overwhelming. Instead, he’s able to take intricate developer stories and break them down into something clear, engaging, and easy to follow. Even if you know nothing about the game he’s covering, you’re never left behind.

In his video about Far Far West, he dives into the history behind what makes the game so special. Instead of just showcasing its features, he focuses on the developers and their journey, and by the end you find yourself genuinely invested in their story and wanting to support what they’re building.

FayeTale

FayeTale is a creator who’s videos you can’t help but smile while watching. She’s a VTuber who fully understands her audience, and leans into that perfectly. Fast-paced editing, comedic sound effects, and the occasional meme cut are all classic elements of VTuber content. Paired with her playful scripts and delivery, it all comes together to create a style that’s instantly recognizable.

In her video about Friendly Steps, she keeps things light, fast, and consistently funny, while also doing a great job of making you imagine how much fun the game would be if you were playing it with friends.

Duck Invaders

Duck Invaders (AKA Ducky) is another Jestr OG and his content stands out because of how organic it feels. Most of his videos come across like they’re completely off the cuff in the best way possible. It genuinely feels like he hits record, starts talking, and builds the entire video in real time through clever one-liners, mini skits, and quick comedic bits that always land. Even though it feels improvised, there’s a clear sense of timing and instinct behind everything he does, with sharp, fast humour that keeps the whole experience consistently entertaining.

In his video about Tiny Leaf Kingdom, you genuinely can’t predict a single thing he’s going to say next. It feels like a rollercoaster you didn’t fully prepare for, but end up enjoying more and more as it goes on.
