We had so much going on this past week and we’re excited to catch you up on everything, from the Roundtable, Feedback Friday, and some of the more exciting things that happened this week in the Jestr Discord.

Creator Roundtable

First off, huge shoutout to Biff for hosting this weeks Jestr Roundtable!

One of the more interesting things talked about in this week’s session was how opinions can be used as a branding tool.

Inserting phrases like “I think” and “which in my opinion”... it sounds small, but it’s actually the difference between a showcase video and a personality. Without an opinion, viewers are just watching a list of features, nothing to agree with, nothing to argue with, nothing to remember you by.

The moment you take a stance, even a small one, people are reacting to you and not just the game, and that’s usually what turns a viewer into someone who actually follows your channel.

If you’ve never been to a roundtable session before, this is an event where creators submit their content to be reviewed by the community, and get actionable feedback on what they can do to improve. If you want to be a part of the next creator roundtable, simply submit to this form and show up to the event on discord, Mondays 2pm EST!

However, everyone is welcome to join and listen in. The advice given to other creators are things you can apply to your own content.

Feedback Friday

This week’s Feedback Friday was EXTREMELY insightful!

We had a great discussion regarding improvements & issues raised by the community. Most notably:

• The key application process

• Minimum campaign submission slots

• Quality of Life improvements to discoverability and filtering on the platform

Along with some clarity on certain aspects of Jestr.

We say this every week, but we are so grateful to have such an engaged community. So thank you to everyone who made it out to the session, let their voices be heard, and are dedicated to building Jestr overall.

What’s New in the Community?

Jestr is officially sponsoring the Hidden Gem Award at The 2026 Streamer Awards.

If you don’t know the category, this award is for a streamer who deserves way more eyes than they’re getting. Which, if we’re being honest, is the most Jestr award on the entire list. Half this community is made up of people with a passion to make content creation a full time gig. That category exists for you guys.

A Campaign No One Expected 👀

This week we ran a campaign for Valheim’s 1.0 release, and the community reaction was priceless.

Valheim isn’t a small game. It’s been out for years, it’s got millions of players, and it has coverage everywhere. So seeing it come through genuinely caught people off guard.

Because it means this thing we’ve been building for the past year is starting to show. Studios of that size don’t come to a platform unless they trust the creators on it, and that trust was earned by you guys, not by us. Every campaign you’ve submitted to, every piece of content you’ve put out, every bit of quality you’ve raised the bar with, that’s what got a name like Valheim in the door.

So expect more of this. We’re not slowing down.

Subtember to Remember Event

This week also kicked off the Subtember to Remember event with streamers from all over Jestr.

It was fun to see all your different personalities and talent as entertainers! Mahdeen himself made his own Twitch account to participate and support the creators who participated!

Who knows, maybe he’ll even do a stream of his own for this event 🤷

If this is your first time hearing about Subtember to Remember, this event was put together to support the streamers in the community, by collaborating on an organized raid train schedule that runs every Monday & Wednesday through the entire month of September.

We’ve wanted to do something like this for a while now, where we can keep you in the loop on everything happening across the community: from roundtables, feedback sessions, new events or whatever else we’ve been cooking up behind the scenes.

Creator Roundtable

First off, shoutout to Alex (ThatsNotFamilyFriendly) for hosting the Jestr Roundtable this past week!

One of the big things talked about in this session was Hooks, specifically how to layer in a second beat of tension right after your opening line, instead of just stating what the video is about. Adding a small “but,” a twist, an open loop before paying anything off can be the difference between a scroll-stopper and a watch-through.

We actually dove a little deeper into how to keep viewers watching after the hook in one of our recent blogs here!

The Jestr Roundtable has been, and will continue to be, one of the most valuable community-driven resources we have to offer. The creators who’ve participated have received tons of valuable insights and the growth SHOWS.

If you’ve never been to a roundtable session before, this is an event where creators submit their content to be reviewed by the community, and get actionable feedback on what they can do to improve. If you want to be a part of the next creator roundtable, simply submit to this form and show up to the event on discord, Mondays 2pm EST!

Feedback Friday

Mahdeen hosted this week’s Feedback Friday and he gave some great insights on the direction of the platform and the general sentiment around Jestr at Gamescom.

We had a great discussion regarding what’s being actively prioritized by the team, and some great conversations around what’s coming up. Specifically:

• The status on the Key Claim System rework

• Campaign Guardrails & Submission Rules

• Collection campaigns, and the general sentiment around mobile games.

• Upcoming events, showcases, merch ideas, and the next potential Jestr Meet-Up at Pax East

We can’t express how grateful we are as a team to have such an engaged community. A LOT of the quality of life updates and positive changes to the platform are the result of the feedback you guys give us in these calls and in the feedback channel.

What’s Coming Up?

Jestr Weekly Gaming Sessions 🎮

Here is this week’s LFG Schedule!

Every Sunday, we’ll release a schedule of what game will be played on each day, then we’ll open up LFG groups for creators to opt into. This will be announced weekly in the gaming discord channel with a notification ping sent out to those with the LFG tag!

And YES, we will provide keys to everyone who joins the Jestr Hosted Games! So now you can play with other creators without losing any of your key claim slots!

We’re aiming to host 3 sessions a day at various times to accommodate creators from different parts of the world. So if you see a game you want to play, and a timeslot that works best for you, feel free to opt in and collaborate with other creators!

Subtember to Remember Event

This week kicks off the Subtember to Remember twitch event hosted by our fellow streamers Preacher & MrEricAlmighty!

This event was put together to support the streamers in the community, by collaborating on an organized raid train schedule that runs every Monday & Wednesday through the entire month of September.

If you’re new here, Jestr’s Choice is our way of showing some extra love to creators who consistently punch above their weight, produce incredible content, and make us proud to have them as part of the Jestr community.

Usually, choosing the recipients is a group effort. The Jestr team puts our heads together, gets input from Jestr reps, and eventually comes to a consensus on five creators we think deserve the spotlight.

Duck Invaders

Duck Invaders (AKA Ducky) is another Jestr OG and his content stands out because of how organic it feels. Most of his videos come across like they’re completely off the cuff in the best way possible. It genuinely feels like he hits record, starts talking, and builds the entire video in real time through clever one-liners, mini skits, and quick comedic bits that always land. Even though it feels improvised, there’s a clear sense of timing and instinct behind everything he does, with sharp, fast humour that keeps the whole experience consistently entertaining.
